CrowdStrike innovates with AI to outmaneuver cyber adversaries
Recent events, such as the MGM cyberattack in Las Vegas, have caused a shift in the threat landscape.
Meanwhile, CrowdStrike Inc.’s primary goal remains unchanged: to prevent breaches and protect against adversaries, according to Jennifer Johnson (pictured), chief marketing officer of CrowdStrike. The company seeks to continuously adapt and evolve its approach and employ new technology, such as artificial intelligence.
“Everything we do is all centered around understanding the adversary, predicting their next steps, staying ahead of them,” Johnson said. “Everything we do is around stopping the breach. So, as we evolve, our technology has to evolve.”
Johnson spoke with theCUBE industry analysts Lisa Martin and Dave Vellante at the Fal.Con event, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed how CrowdStrike aims to establish itself as the leading cybersecurity platform to stop breaches and defend against adversaries. (* Disclosure below.)
Machine meets human
Bringing together security tools into an integrated platform using a lightweight agent offers several advantages. It improves performance, enhances data collection capabilities and enables integration with AI technology, according to Johnson. As a result, managing cybersecurity becomes simpler and more budget-friendly.
CrowdStrike’s proprietary tool, Falcon Foundry, represents such a platform and an approach where collaboration and fast execution are key. Moreover, when it comes to cybersecurity, the company distinguishes itself by combining the capabilities of machine learning with its in-house specialists. This unique combination enables the company to efficiently scrutinize and counteract threats while expanding its knowledge base using its platform, according to Johnson.
“When you have that combination of machine plus human together, that’s a real differentiator for us,” Johnson said. “We announced some great enterprise pricing with FalconFlex this morning, as well around helping customers adopt and consolidate with us easier.”
