Pax8 and CrowdStrike partner to offer vital cybersecurity services to SMBs
As ransomware attacks grow increasingly common, small and mid-sized companies are seeking protection from a siege of cyber threats.
Pax8 Inc., the cloud commerce marketplace, is partnering with cybersecurity company CrowdStrike Holdings Inc. to provide small and medium businesses with accessible and effective cybersecurity solutions.
“The SMB market is … fundamentally underserved and not ready for what is happening in the world of cybersecurity,” said Daniel Bernard (pictured, left), chief business officer of CrowdStrike.
By collaborating with Pax8, CrowdStrike aims to provide a broader base of customers with what Nick Heddy (right), chief commerce officer of Pax8, calls “enterprise-level” security.
Bernard and Heddy spoke with theCUBE industry analysts Lisa Martin and Dave Vellante at the Fal.Con event, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed how the partnership between Pax8 and CrowdStrike is affecting the world of cybersecurity and the new developments that SMBs can expect to see from their collaboration. The role of AI in cybersecurity advancements
With a network of 30,000 partners and 500,000 customers, Pax8 is ready to meet the high demand for high-end cybersecurity technology, according to Heddy.
“They are asking for CrowdStrike by name,” said Heddy, who looks forward to delivering new security solutions to MSPs and SMBs.
CrowdStrike’s success relies on its reliability and recognition, according to Bernard.
“There’s a lot of great cybersecurity companies, but you need a Ph.D. to understand what a lot of them do,” he said. “We stop breaches, clean and simple.”
Pax8 and CrowdStrike look to use artificial intelligence technologies in helping companies find the cybersecurity service that is right for them.
“We are leveraging AI today through our marketplace to matchmake customers and partners,” Heddy said.
The companies are looking to “service the lowest common denominator … and democratize the technology in a whole new way,” according to Bernard. CrowdStrike’s new Charlotte AI technology can suggest the next logical cybersecurity product for users on the company’s Falcon platform.
“This is a worldwide partnership,” Bernard said about Pax8 and CrowdStrike teaming up. “What you have to expect is global expansion, more platform adoption and … new, innovative technologies that solve problems for these customers. That’s what it’s all about.”
