AI-enhanced enhanced security operations solutions startup Radiant Security raises $15M
Artificial intelligence-enhanced security operations solutions startup Radiant Security Inc. today announced that it has raised $15 million in new funding for additional research and development.
Founded in 2021, Radiant Security offers an AI-powered security copilot for security operations centers, or SOCs, that enables users to harness the power of AI to boost analyst productivity, detect more real attacks and slash incident response times.
The platform has been designed to address the issue wherein SOCs employ dozens of tools to help safeguard their environment from attacks but yet, these tools generate so much noise that it’s often impossible for analysts to keep up. Radiant Security claims that security analysts spend countless hours performing the same tedious, time-consuming tasks repeatedly but still barely scratch the surface — demoralizing and ineffective at a time when there is a shortage of security professionals.
Radiant Security argues that AI-enhanced solutions, such as its SOC copilot, provide relief for overworked analysts. SOC copilot fits with SOC workloads with scalability and the ability to analyze extensive, disparate data sets. The solution amplifies analyst productivity by automating laborious tasks like alert, triage and incident investigation, delivering decision-ready results.
The company’s platform can be deployed in minutes via an application programming interface, delivering rapid time to value and immediately reducing analyst workloads by as much as 95%.
In one use case example, pharmaceutical company Kyowa Kirin Holdings Co. Ltd. signed up with Radiant Security to enhance SOC analyst productivity. After the simple installation, Radiant’s SOC copilot identified and escalated a real threat within two hours. Using Radiant’s tools, Kyowa Kirin’s analysts swiftly contained and resolved the threat, preventing further escalation.
Next47 Ventures LLC led the Series A round, with General Advance LLC, LightSpeed Venture Partners L.P., Acrew Capital LLC, Uncorrelated Ventures LLC and Jibe Ventures LLC also participating.
“Radiant Security’s vision aligns seamlessly with the evolving landscape of cybersecurity,” Moshe Zilberstein, head of Israeli investments at Next47, said ahead of the news. “Their innovative approach and dedication to addressing longstanding security challenges make them a valuable partner to their customers.”
