Cloud web development company Netlify Inc. today announced the general availability of its artificial intelligence-enabled deployment assistance tool to improve developer productivity and ship personalized digital experiences faster.
Available as a part of Netlify’s Composable Web Platform, the tool leverages AI to analyze failed deployments and to provide suggestions to correct any errors that are discovered. Using the tool, developers can significantly reduce the time spent manually reviewing logs for increased productivity and faster go-to-market workflows.
Citing a McKinsey study that found that 71% of consumers expect companies to deliver personalized interactions and 76% get frustrated when this doesn’t happen, Netlify argues that as organizations face these demands, building a developer team capable of delivering improved end-user experiences at speed is critical to fostering customer loyalty. This is where Netlify’s AI-enabled deploy assist steps in.
Features of deploy assist include debugging failed builds and providing suggested fixes, freeing developers from hours of log-diving and troubleshooting to ship code faster. Doing so, the company says, leads to a differentiated and more rewarding developer experience.
The AI-enabled deploy assist also assists developers with quality feedback on failed builds enabling rapid code fixes to ensure failed builds do not become bottlenecks.
“As the demands for personalized digital experiences grow, businesses are seeking effective solutions to improve development workflows, go to market faster and empower developers,” said Netlify Chief Technology Officer Dana Lawson. “The AI-enabled deploy assist provides a truly differentiated developer experience by removing the roadblocks associated with failed builds, driving significant cost savings, from saved developer hours lost to troubleshooting and enables developers to focus on what they do best, creating and shipping digital experiences.”
Netlify is a venture capital-backed startup, having raised $212 million in funding, according to Tracxn, including a round of $105 million in November 2021. Investors include Bessemer Venture Partners LLC, Andreessen Horowitz, BOND Cap LLC, EQT Ventures LLC, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers LLC, Mango Capital Inc. and Menlo Ventures Management LP.
The company has more than 4 million developers on its platform and over 475 enterprise customers. Netlify is best known as the creator of Jamstack, a cloud-based platform for automating web development projects.
