How Stripe Connectors and Boomi are transforming connectivity for modern enterprises
With everything becoming interconnected, integration platform as a service comes in handy based on the need for a connected environment, and this is where Stripe Connectors come into play.
To help organizations seamlessly orchestrate payments and move money globally by removing the complexity that can come with connecting multiple systems, Stripe Connectors developed by Boomi LP are changing the game, according to Badi Azad (pictured, left), lead product manager at Stripe Inc.
“I think that the aspect of this announcement that’s so exciting is that Stripe and Boomi are partnering together to unlock all the financial integrations that are needed by our customers in terms of orchestrating global payments or even doing revenue and finance automation now,” Azad said. “It’s all possible based off of these new recipes, these new connectors of Stripe on the Boomi platform.”
Azad and Matt McLarty (right), chief technology officer of Boomi, spoke with theCUBE Research’s John Furrier at Boomi World, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed how Stripe Connectors developed by Boomi are changing the connectivity game for a seamless user experience. (* Disclosure below.)
Scalability is top of mind for Stripe Connectors
With integration platform as a service becoming the modern enterprise platform that provides both vertical and horizontal connectivity in the application, scalability has become a big deal. As a result, Stripe Connectors ensure the scalability of all the systems, thanks to the interoperation incorporated, McLarty pointed out.
“Scalability comes around just making changes into how you deploy things, how do you run things in parallel,” he said. “What we’ve been able to do is connect our business domain knowledge and really look at the use cases to the point about scalability. I think really in terms of the harmony of the relationship is Stripe not only has the API, but you have native connectors to systems for high value. I think where Boomi comes in a big way is around that long tail of all the other stuff, which is another scaling dimension.”
Connecting things is one thing, but scaling is the other. As a result, the Stripe-Boomi partnership addresses both issues from a technology and business perspective, according to McLarty.
“If you look at API companies in the marketplace, Stripe is like the ultimate API company when it comes to the best-in-class documentation and robustness of the API,” he said. “I think for our joint customers and I think what’s really great is just the capabilities that we’re unlocking. We connect to the proprietary systems, we connect to packaged applications, and as Stripe becomes ubiquitous, they’re running into all these integration needs. So, it’s a really great collaboration.”
