

NinjaOne LLC, a unified endpoint management and information technology management software company, today announced a new feature that enhances patch management processes by leveraging generative artificial intelligence to provide sentiment analysis for Windows updates.
Called NinjaOne AI for Patch Sentiment, the new feature seeks to address the issue where, with endpoint growth accelerating, devices pose huge security risks. NinjaOne argues that patching, while crucial, has historically been cumbersome because IT teams need to monitor, research and test available patches manually before deploying.
The new service addresses patch-related risk by leveraging generative AI to provide comprehensive sentiment analysis for Windows KB updates. KB updates are those released by Microsoft, identified by a unique Knowledge Base number, that address software bugs and security vulnerabilities or improve system performance for the Windows operating system.
NinjaOne AI for Patch Sentiment also streamlines the patch management process, allowing IT teams to be more efficient. Key benefits include detailed insights and community feedback to help teams make informed decisions on whether to deploy or delay patches. In doing so, the feature reduces the risk of disruptions from problematic updates and minimizes operational risks.
Additionally, the feature identifies potentially risky patches early, allowing IT teams to avoid security vulnerabilities or compatibility issues. Through streamlining patch assessments, teams save time and can focus on other critical tasks, improving overall efficiency and productivity.

Alongside the announcement of NinjaOne AI for Patch Sentiment, NinjaOne also announced the appointment of Joel Carusone to senior vice president of data and AI. Carusone previously served as chief technology officer at energy-focused software development company Zeno Technologies Inc. and, prior to that, was CEO of Radius Intelligence Inc., a software company acquired by American Express Co. in 2019.
