What to expect at ‘The AI-ready Platform: Nutanix Simplifies Enterprise AI’ event: Join us on Nov. 12
As enterprises increasingly seek to build, deploy and scale AI applications, the demand for versatile AI-ready infrastructure has intensified.
Nutanix Inc., a frontrunner in this space, recently saw its stock soar over 15%, driven by its expanding artificial intelligence capabilities and market performance. With a market capitalization of $16.75 billion, ranking as the world’s 1119th most valuable company as of October 2024, Nutanix is leveraging this momentum to further its hybrid and multicloud solutions advancements, addressing core challenges such as data consistency and deployment flexibility.
“AI is exciting, but for many organizations, it’s a complicated situation,” said Dave Vellante, chief analyst at theCUBE Research. “Pressure from management and competitors to ‘get AI right,’ keeping pace with large language model innovations, concerns over security, privacy and data leakage, cost and uncertain business returns are just a few of the challenges organizations face in implementing a comprehensive AI strategy.”
Nvidia Corp.’s Chief Executive Officer, Jensen Huang, posits that there’s a trillion dollars of general-purpose infrastructure that needs to be replaced and accelerated over the next several years. Given the myriad challenges customers face, wrestling with hybrid AI infrastructure deployments is the last thing organizations need, Vellante pointed out.
“We see customers moving from a gen AI scramble of uncoordinated proof of concepts toward an enterprise AI strategy that operationalizes use cases with the highest potential,” said Bob Parker, senior vice president of industry, software and services research at IDC. “Platforms that can simplify deployment, optimize costs in operation, and provide runtime choice are a critical success factor.”

Driving AI scalability through multicloud solutions, AI-ready infrastructure and strategic enhancements
Through partnerships with industry leaders such as Dell Technologies Inc., Cisco Systems Inc. and Nvidia Corp., Nutanix helps ensure the smooth operation of AI applications across environments, building robust AI-ready infrastructure for enterprises, according to a SiliconANGLE article. These collaborations empower Nutanix’s AI-ready platforms to drive innovative solutions, such as the recently enhanced Kubernetes platform.
These collaborations empower Nutanix’s AI-ready platforms to drive innovative solutions, such as the recently enhanced Kubernetes platform. This ensures that users can manage containers securely across on-premises and cloud settings with no cloud lock-in, according to Lee Caswell, senior vice president of product and solutions marketing at Nutanix, in a recent interview with theCUBE.
“For the first time, we’re not running our stack on a hypervisor either delivered or managed by us,” Caswell said. “It’s an opportunity to run in a containerized manner on infrastructure delivered by someone else.”
From AI advancements such as the company’sGPT-in-a-Box toolset to its Project Beacon platform-as-a-service data services, Nutanix focuses on providing an environment that’s optimized for real-time insights, disaster recovery and AI model efficiency, according to Thomas Cornely, senior vice president of product management at Nutanix, who spoke with theCUBE. By supporting high-performance AI infrastructure and forging strategic alliances, Nutanix continues positioning itself as a leader in enterprise AI infrastructure, setting new standards for integrated, flexible and efficient hybrid solutions.
“The focus for us is to think along four key pillars,” Cornely said. “The first one is in terms of a platform, a hybrid multicloud platform. The whole foundation here is to have one environment and a consistent way of doing things wherever you’re running. The second one is to make sure you think about having options for the future — it’s not about optimizing for now only. The third one is consistently managing all these environments. Then, last but not least, in all this, it’s about being ready for the future.”
