SurePath AI raises $5.2M to advance generative AI governance platform
Generative artificial intelligence governance startup SurePath AI Inc. announced today that it has raised $5.2 million in funding to accelerate growth and enhance its platform for securely governing generative AI adoption in enterprises.
Founded in 2023, SurePath AI offers a generative AI governance platform designed to assist organizations in adopting and governing generative AI usage across their teams. SurePath AI claims it’s the only solution of its kind, providing comprehensive risk mitigation for public generative AI services, oversight for private models and control over access to sensitive data sources — all managed through a unified policy engine.
Core to the offering is giving organizations needed visibility and control of generative AI use across public and private models. The platform offers role-based access controls that decide what data leaves an organization and which models and data sources users can access.
“As generative AI adoption continues to surge across industries, businesses are challenged to balance the risks and benefits,” said founder and Chief Executive Casey Bleeker. “Our company was built to solve this dilemma, and today, our platform enables the secure adoption of generative AI without hindering innovation.”
SurePath AI’s platform captures, monitors, secures and routes generative AI traffic while centrally managing role-based access control policies that are independent of specific vendors. It also allows organizations to inject enterprise data and prompt engineering into generative AI applications, driving increased adoption and productivity. Combined, the company says, the capabilities ensure organizations can safely leverage AI tools while maintaining control over data and compliance.
The seed round was led by Uncork Capital, with Operator Collective LP also participating.
“SurePath AI is tackling one of the most pressing challenges in enterprise technology today: productive but secure AI adoption across the organization,” said Haley Daiber Brannan, a partner at Operator Collective. “Their innovative approach to security and compliance at the network level and early customer wins and partnerships are clear indications of SurePath AI’s ability to capture this market.”
