Steg.AI launches web app to simplify digital content protection for enterprises
Forensic watermarking startup Steg.AI Inc. today announced the launch of a new enterprise web application designed to simplify digital content protection for a broad range of companies.
The new application features a user-friendly interface that provides advanced leak protection. The service is pitched as ideal for organizations with complex creative workflows or strong security requirements.
The web application seeks to address the issue of “content leaks” — the unauthorized distribution or exposure of digital media assets, which can lead to significant financial losses and compromised intellectual property for businesses.
Steg AI’s web app mitigates the financial risks of content leaks by embedding invisible, tamper-resistant watermarks using Light Field Messaging technology. Uniquely identifiable, the watermarks remain intact through screenshots, cropping, compression and other forms of editing, ensuring protection for digital assets.
The platform also integrates optional Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity content credentials, an industry standard that verifies the origin and authenticity of digital content. By adopting the C2PA credentials, Steg.AI believes, companies can enhance transparency, build customer trust and ensure media integrity while addressing rising concerns about digital content misuse.
The web app has also been designed with usability in mind through the inclusion of an intuitive drag-and-drop interface that allows users to watermark, share and trace content at any stage of the content lifecycle. The functionality makes the tool accessible to teams with varying technical expertise, reducing the need for extensive training while supporting seamless internal and external collaboration.
Security also gets a look in, with customizable permissions for downloading and forwarding content offered to address common workflow vulnerabilities. The app’s trace feature helps organizations identify potential sources of leaks in the event of a breach, providing accountability and bolstering overall media security strategies.
“Steg.AI has long been trusted by enterprise clients to protect their confidential digital assets,” said Dr. Eric Wengrowski, chief executive officer of Steg.AI. “With the new web application, we’re making this level of protection more accessible to a wider range of businesses, simplifying the process without compromising on the advanced capabilities our users have come to rely on.”
Steg.AI is a venture capital-backed startup that has raised $5 million in funding, according to Tracxn. Investors in the company include Paladin Capital Group, Washington Square Angels and New York University.
