Sweet Security introduces unified Cloud Native Detection and Response platform

Cloud security startup Sweet Security Ltd. today announced the release of its unified Cloud Native Detection and Response platform, a new platform designed to transform the way organizations protect their cloud environments in real time.

The new platform integrates the capabilities of application detection and response, cloud detection and response, and cloud workload protection into one platform that delivers enhanced detection and response capabilities and unified insights from every layer of the cloud.

The new offering seeks to address issues such as security teams facing an average dwell time of 10 days to resolve cloud incidents because of a lack of context. With the Cloud Native Detection and Response platform, organizations can put detection and response at the forefront of their cloud defense strategy, with the ability to act on threats as they happen.

“The Sweet team has worked tirelessly to build a platform that not only meets the needs of today’s security landscape but also anticipates the challenges of tomorrow,” said Chief Executive Dror Kashti. “With our supercharged detection and response capabilities, we’re providing organizations with the tools they need to secure their cloud environments faster and more effectively than ever before.”

In testing before its release with selected customers, the service offered an average detection time of 30 seconds and the ability to respond to incidents within two to five minutes. The net result was a reduction in mean time to resolution by 90%.

In addition to unified detection and response, Sweet Security’s platform leverages generative artificial intelligence-powered capabilities, including unified cloud visibility, vulnerability management, runtime cloud security posture management and identity threat detection and response. The features provide real-time insights across applications, workloads and infrastructure, allowing organizations to address critical cloud risks swiftly and reduce incident response times.

Based in Israel, Sweet Security is a venture capital-backed startup that has raised $45 million over two rounds — $12 million in August 2023 and $33 million in March. Investors in the company include Evolution Equity Partners, CyberArk Ventures, Munich Re Ventures and Glilot Capital Partners LP.
