Artificial intelligence-based human resources company Phenom People Inc. announced today that it has acquired resource management and talent mobility platform Edge Networks Pvt. Ltd. for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2012, Edge specializes in talent management and employee modulation within the information technology services and banking sectors. The company offers a suite of products designed to address various aspects of talent acquisition and workforce transformation.
The company’s flagship platform, Edge Pathfinder, recommends to employees personalized career paths and upskilling opportunities that align individual aspirations with organizational goals. For recruitment needs, Edge Recruit uses intelligent job-to-candidate matching that leverages AI to streamline the hiring process and ensure an optimal fit between roles and applicants.
Edge leverages AI to enhance various aspects of talent management within organizations. The AI-powered platform analyzes extensive datasets to provide intelligent upskilling and reskilling recommendations, enabling companies to build a future-ready workforce. For internal mobility, AI solutions offer comprehensive insights into employee skills and competencies, allowing organizations to efficiently allocate resources and staff projects by identifying the right talent within the company.
The technology, refined through extensive interactions with employees, managers and HR professionals, delivers tangible results for customers. Companies using Edge, the company claims, have seen significant improvements, including a 16-day reduction in internal fulfillment cycle time, a 21% increase in internally fulfilled demands, a 36% boost in supply visibility and a 28-fold rise in replacing contractors with internal talent.
For Phenom, the acquisition of Edge will allow the company to add advanced resource planning capabilities to the Phenom platform and strengthen the ability of Phenom to deliver solutions suited to different industries’ talent needs, helping companies execute strategic workforce planning at large scale.
“In the face of rapidly developing AI innovations, organizations must level up their workforces to remain competitive,” said Phenom co-founder and Chief Executive Mahe Bayireddi. “Intelligence and automation empower HR teams to provide phenomenal employee experiences at scale and the Edge acquisition adds tremendous value to better serve professional service companies and global capability centers.”
