Auvik introduces new features for SaaS management, network visibility and server monitoring

Cloud-based network management software firm Auvik Networks Inc. today announced a number of new capabilities in software-as-a-service automation, endpoint network visibility and server monitoring that give information technology teams and managed service providers greater visibility and control.

The new capabilities include SaaS Automation and SaaS License Optimization within Auvik SaaS Management to enhance security and reduce unnecessary SaaS expenses. There’s also Endpoint Network Monitoring to support end users across remote and hybrid work environments by improving visibility into workstation connectivity. And there’s expanded server monitoring to provide deeper insights into Windows server environments, reducing tool sprawl and enabling proactive management.

The new services allow customers to consolidate toolsets and get network, server and SaaS management solutions all in one platform. “All of these capabilities were developed by closely working with our customers to understand the solutions and features they need to better manage diverse IT environments, gain greater visibility and efficiency and uncover hidden opportunities for cost savings,” explains Doug Murray, chief executive officer of Auvik.

The new Auvik SaaS management capabilities allow IT administrators to enhance security and optimize SaaS expenses by providing clear visibility into usage. The features help IT teams mitigate security risks, ensure compliance and prevent unvetted artificial intelligence applications from creating vulnerabilities.

With automated security and compliance controls, the SaaS capabilities allow IT teams to manage access while reducing waste in SaaS spending, which can account for up to 30% of the $2,000 to $5,000 per employee annual cost. The efficiency enables businesses to reinvest in AI, security and other priorities, supported by more than 20 prebuilt integrations with platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce Inc. and Zoom Communications Inc.

For endpoint management, Auvik has introduced Auvik Endpoint Network Monitoring as part of the new Network Management platform. The service extends network visibility to the endpoint across remote and hybrid work environments to help IT teams manage and improve the end-user experience on Windows and Mac OS devices.

Auvik’s Endpoint Network Monitoring solution assists in finding visibility gaps missed by traditional remote monitoring and management platforms and network monitoring software to give MSPs and IT teams a complete picture of workstation connectivity,  no matter where they are.

On the server monitoring front, Auvik has improved its server monitoring capabilities in its Auvik Network Management platform to provide customers with visibility into Windows servers. With the improved capabilities, Auvik customers can now receive proactive alerts and view an inventory of servers all in one place.

Auvik is a venture capital-backed company that has raised various funding rounds, including $250 million in July 2021. Investors in the company include Great Hill Partners LP, Rho Canada Ventures Inc., Celtic House Venture Partners, OpenView Venture Partners and BDC Venture Capital.
