Dataminr reveals agentic AI roadmap with launch of Intel Agents for real-time decision-making

Real-time event and risk detection company Dataminr Inc. today unveiled its agentic AI roadmap, marking a step forward in the development of intelligent, autonomous artificial intelligence agents for enhanced real-time decision-making.

The company’s first agentic AI capability, called Intel Agents, tasks AI agents with autonomously generating critical context as events, risks and threats unfold. Intel Agents build on Dataminr’s ReGenAI technology, introduced in April 2024, adding a new layer of continuous, real-time context to event briefs produced by the platform.

Intel Agents work by analyzing emerging developments and autonomously determining the additional context needed to better understand and respond to incidents. The agents synthesize information from both public external sources and Dataminr’s internal 15-year event archive, all powered by the company’s large language models.

“When Dataminr’s AI Platform detects the earliest indications of events, risks and threats, Intel Agents are tasked with autonomously determining the additional context that’s needed, where to look for it and how to best synthesize what they find into concise text,” said Chief AI Officer Alex Jaimes. “The unique decision-making capabilities of Agentic AI, powered by Dataminr’s proprietary LLMs and AI Platform, enable new innovations that were never before possible.”

The first deployment of Intel Agents is currently being piloted within Dataminr Pulse for Cyber Risk, the company’s cybersecurity solution designed to help chief information security officers and their teams manage digital risk. Intel Agents eliminate the need for manual research by providing cybersecurity teams with enriched, real-time threat intelligence for faster decision-making and response.

Dataminr plans to expand the reach of Intel Agents across its product suite, including Dataminr First Alert for public sector clients and Dataminr Pulse for corporate security. Future updates will bring Client-Tailored Context, allowing organizations to incorporate their unique operational insights into dynamically generated event briefs.

Further down its product roadmap, Dataminr plans to launch PreGenAI in 2026, a predictive intelligence capability that uses agentic AI and generative AI to forecast possible future scenarios during unfolding events. By anticipating potential outcomes, PreGenAI is designed to help clients plan and respond proactively rather than reactively.

The launch comes after Dataminr revealed last week that it had raised $100 million in new funding from funds managed by affiliates of Fortress Investment Group. The new funding will be used to Dataminr to accelerate the development of its generative AI and Agentic AI products and to expand its reach to enterprises and governments worldwide.
