Following the explosion of artificial intelligence products, QlikTech International AB, known as Qlik, has consistently advocated for a data-first AI adoption model.
Last year’s Qlik Connect event was all about accelerating AI adoption by helping companies organize and prioritize their data. This year, we get to see what progress has been made.
“For generative AI, you’ve got to put this data at the center of everything you do, and it is generating more,” Brendan Grady, executive vice president and general manager of the Analytics and AI Business Unit at Qlik, told theCUBE. “From a product’s perspective, what I really see us evolving to is delivering on our vision of both structured and unstructured data.”
Qlik Connect 2025 will take place in Orlando on May 14. The event will see analysts and experts gather to discuss AI-powered analytics and data integration, with live coverage and exclusive interviews from theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. (* Disclosure below.)
Check out what’s in store for theCUBE’s coverage of Qlik Connect:
Research shows that data quality is not being prioritized, with 81% of AI professionals admitting their company has significant data quality issues, according to Qlik. Another study showed that only 29% have fully deployed their generative AI solutions for analytics.
Qlik’s goal is not just to be data driven, but data-centric or data-first. Using Qlik Answers, the company’s generative AI knowledge base, businesses can query both structured and unstructured data pools.
“Qlik’s AI isn’t theoretical — it’s operational, integrated and delivering results,” said David Zember, senior vice president of Worldwide Channels and Alliances at Qlik. “We’ve embedded AI across our data and analytics stack so partners can take it to market quickly, drive measurable impact and meet their customers where they are — whether it’s predictive analytics, gen AI or AI-ready data integration.”
Qlik has made several acquisitions in the past couple years, including Talend in May 2023, Kyndi in January 2024 and, most recently, Upsolver. At the start of the year, the company launched Data Flow capabilities within Qlik Cloud Analytics, which gives users a more intuitive interface to manage their data, and will offer Qlik AI Specialist Certifications at the upcoming conference.
“AI is transforming every industry, but success depends on people who know how to apply it effectively,” said Chris Powell, chief marketing officer at Qlik. “We developed the Qlik AI Specialist Certification based on customer needs, ensuring attendees gain the practical skills needed to turn AI into tangible results.”
