Red Sift expands Cisco partnership with addition of Brand Trust platform

Cloud email security and brand protection startup Red Sift Ltd. today announced an expanded partnership with Cisco Systems Inc. that brings its Brand Trust platform into the Cisco security portfolio.

The expanded partnership builds on the company’s existing collaboration around Red Sift’s OnDMARC solution, which helps enterprises enforce email authentication protocols to prevent domain spoofing and is currently available to Cisco customers.

Red Sift’s Brand Trust platform is designed to help security teams detect and mitigate impersonation threats at large scale. The platform continuously monitors the open internet for domains that mimic legitimate brands, using AI to analyze visual, phonetic and character similarities in real time.

The platform also identifies websites that reuse brand assets, such as logos, design elements or text, to provide detailed infrastructure intelligence, including intellectual property ownership and location, to assess risk. The service is complemented by a built-in artificial intelligence agent that mimics human review to prioritize takedown candidates and accelerate response workflows.

The expanded partnership allows Cisco customers to extend protection beyond their owned domains to the wider internet, where attacks are increasingly common.

The addition of Brand Trust offers protection that goes further. With the service, organizations can monitor the open internet for lookalike domains and other impersonation threats that DMARC alone cannot detect and take action before they result in compromise or reputational harm.

Red Sift is a venture capital-backed startup that has raised $69.8 million in three rounds, including a round of $54 million in 2022. Investors in the company include Highland Europe (Technology) LLP, Sands Capital Management, MMC Ventures Ltd., Oxford Capital Partners LLP and In-Q-Tel Inc.
