Boomi releases new tools for automating the creation of data pipelines

Boomi LP’s 2024 acquisition of Rivery Technologies Ltd. has resulted in a suite of new offerings aimed at streamlining data integration and pipeline management. At Boomi World 2025, the company announced the launch of Boomi Data Integration — built on Rivery’s technology — and previewed its upcoming Data Connector Agent, set to debut next month.

Taylor McGrath, vice president of solutions engineering at Rivery, talks with theCUBE about the company’s integration into Boomi’s platform and managing data pipelines during Boomi World – 2025.

We are coming with the data integration,” said Itamar Ben Hamo (pictured, right), general manager of data management at Boomi LP and the co-founder of Rivery, “We have the data hub that’s helping us for the golden records management and definitely help us in cleansing the data set and make it much better quality in order to serve the [artificial intelligence] agents that we are going to develop. But also to expand that one into the observability catalog of data and what we are actually launching end of next month, which is the Data Connector Agent.”

The role Rivery plays within Boomi

Proving value on AI projects can be difficult, but by consolidating data into one platform with agentic AI surrounding it, Boomi is showing a return on investment. Its acquisition of Rivery has further enabled customers to automate the creation of data pipelines, which can now be done at scale through Boomi Data Integration, according to McGrath.

“We’re thinking about data pipelines in terms of larger workloads at scale,” said McGrath. “Replicating from databases, efficiencies when we’re loading data into data cloud, data lakes [and] data warehouses — all of this we can do now at scale with Boomi Data Integration and the post-load transformations to model your data and prep it for the downstream analytics.”

Boomi will also release the Data Connector Agent within Boomi Data Integration, which enables users to request and receive a YAML (human-readable) definition of a data pipeline. Users will be able to develop their own connectors between data stores using Boomi’s AI agents and continue harnessing Boomi’s services for SAP SE.

“Boomi has strong capabilities around SAP,” McGrath explained. “One of which is called Boomi for SAP, that integrates with a bunch of different SAP services, and then we can actually pair that with Rivery’s data pipelines … It really evolves the SAP landscape within the Boomi platform and opens up a whole new channel for our customers too.”
