Dope.security debuts DOPAMINE DLP to modernize data loss prevention with AI

Cybersecurity startup dope.security Inc. today announced the launch of DOPAMINE DLP, a large language model-powered endpoint data loss prevention solution that allows enterprises to monitor and block sensitive file uploads with higher accuracy by understanding content context rather than relying on regex or pattern matching.

The new offering, built into dope.security’s existing agent, has been designed to improve data security and protect sensitive information while reducing the operational overhead and alert fatigue typical of legacy DLP solutions.

The release takes on the issue wherein traditional DLP tools that theoretically monitor sensitive file uploads rely on watermarks, regexes and pattern matching that constrain their effectiveness. Dope.security argues that legacy DLPs cannot reliably identify sensitive files and result in a high false-positive rate and the only alternative is turning it off or leaving it in a monitor mode, which eliminates usefulness.

DOPAMINE DLP ups what DLP solutions can do by leveraging modern technology to replace old-school regex methodology with a large language model’s comprehension. The LLM that powers the new solution can classify and block data-in-motion while uploading files with a high degree of accuracy, enabling security admins to improve their security posture and curb risky behavior without sifting through an ocean of alerts.

With DOPAMINE DLP, security teams can identify, monitor and block uploads containing personally identifiable information, payment card information, personal health information and intellectual property with zero configuration required.

“Old tools do not comprehend text and instead operate pattern matches (e.g. 16-digit sequence must be a credit card number) to determine sensitivity. This results in both endless alerts and no true positives at the same time. Each option is unhelpful and in 2025, we can do better,” said Kunal Agarwal, founder and chief executive officer of dope.security. “DOPAMINE DLP uses LLMs which are incredibly reliable in identifying sensitive information, empowering our Fly Direct SWG to curb risky data exfiltration and enhance data protection with a one-click configuration. No more mind-boggling policy tuning.”

DOPAMINE DLP is available in early access starting today.

Dope.security is a venture capital-backed startup that has raised $23.9 million over three rounds. Investors in the company include Google Ventures (GV Management Co.), Boldstart Ventures and Preface Ventures.
