Behavior-tracking software firm Amplitude Inc. today announced the public release of Amplitude MCP, a new remote server that makes the company’s behavioral insights instantly accessible within any artificial intelligence tool or workflow through the Model Context Protocol.
Alongside the MCP launch, Amplitude also today introduced the open beta of Amplitude AI Agents, a set of tools that proactively surface insights and automate product analysis to accelerate innovation.
Amplitude MCP allows teams and AI systems to access Amplitude data directly where they work, including in Slack, Claude or any MCP-enabled client, to make faster and more informed decisions. By making insights universally accessible, Amplitude MCP is said by the company to turn AI from a passive brainstorming partner into an active system of expertise rooted in real customer behavior.
By extending Amplitude’s analytics, experiments and data models into MCP-enabled environments, organizations gain real-time context on what users are doing and why. The result is faster discovery, stronger collaboration across teams and AI that acts on truth, not assumption.
Amplitude AI Agents automate common product and data workflows using Amplitude’s deep behavioral understanding. The agents detect changes, surface insights and recommend actions in real time by continuously monitoring dashboards, funnels and user flows and allow teams to move faster, scale decision-making and transform analytics into an always-on system that proactively drives growth.
The agent offering is launching in beta with two agents — a Dashboard Agent for proactive chart analysis and a Session Replay Agent for end-to-end qualitative analysis.
The dashboard agent monitors any Amplitude dashboard and analyzes each chart for meaningful changes, surfaces trends that require immediate attention and detects key week-over-week and month-over-month metric shifts. The agent also performs root cause analysis to identify segments or behaviors driving metric changes and allows for follow-up analysis via natural language, generating new charts and answering questions. Insights uncovered are pushed proactively to Slack, email or directly in Amplitude.
The Session Replay Agent automatically analyzes session replays across funnels or event paths at scale and surfaces behavioral patterns, dropoffs and friction indicators like rage clicks, dead clicks and user errors using natural language. The agent backs each insight with a curated playlist of relevant session replays and pushes the insights proactively to Slack, email or directly in Amplitude.
Amplitude’s AI Agents are now available in beta, with more capabilities rolling out over the next few months. Agent support for MCP will be rolling out in the next few months.
