Confidential artificial intelligence platform provider Opaque Systems Inc. today announced the launch of Opaque Studio, a new service for accelerating the secure development of Confidential AI agents.

Confidential AI involves systems that can process sensitive or proprietary data within secure, hardware-attested environments while ensuring provable privacy and policy compliance at every stage of execution. The concept allows enterprises to build and deploy AI models that maintain full data confidentiality, auditability and compliance without compromising speed or accuracy.

Opaque Studio is built on LangGraph, an open-source framework for building structured, reliable multi-agent AI systems. It features runtime-verifiable trust that enables organizations to move agentic deployments from pilot to production environments more quickly and confidently, the company says.

The offering is claimed by Opaque to be the first platform to deliver verifiable end-to-end privacy and policy compliance guarantees before, during and after execution and, in doing so, allow enterprises to safely deploy AI agents grounded in proprietary data.

With the launch of Opaque Studio, the Opaque Confidential AI platform now offers two key components that make verifiable confidentiality achievable at scale. Along with the new Studio offering, the company also offers the Opaque Confidential Runtime, a hardware-attested execution engine. It provides verifiable privacy guarantees before, during and after, with integrity/configuration attestation to prevent misconfigurations, cryptographic policy enforcement, runtime encryption of data, workload isolation and hardware-signed audit reports/logs for compliance.

The platform is claimed by Opaque to enable four to five times faster AI deployment speed with verifiable guarantees without compliance hurdles, a 67% reduction in deployment costs and improved accuracy up to 99% safely grounding AI with sensitive proprietary data without hallucinations versus generic foundation models.

Opaque is a venture capital-backed startup that has raised $31.6 million over three rounds, including rounds of $9.5 million in 2021 and $22 million in 2022. Investors in the company include Walden Catalyst Ventures, Storm Ventures LP, Thomvest Ventures, Intel Capital Corp., Race Capital, The House Fund, FactoryHQ and Clear Ventures.
