Data analytics company Fullstory Inc. announced today that it had acquired Usetiful, an Estonian digital adoption platform startup known for deploying guides and surveys in applications, for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2019, Usetiful offers a platform that is designed to help software companies streamline user onboarding and boost feature adoption. The platform offers no-code tools for creating interactive product tours, onboarding checklists, tooltips and in-app messages that guide users through key workflows.
The platform supports customer success and does so by allowing product teams to deliver personalized, contextual help when users need it. It also allows companies to automate guidance for different user personas or stages in the customer journey through behavioral triggers and segmentation.
Usetiful’s platform also offers survey and feedback tools that allow teams to collect user sentiment and measure satisfaction through in-app surveys or widgets, with the insights able to be combined with engagement data to identify friction points or drop-offs in the user journey, helping teams iterate on product design and support.
With the acquisition, Fullstory customers will be able to connect insights directly to action.
For example, customer-facing product teams using Fullstory Analytics or Anywhere: Activation can deploy an in-app guide to help customers complete purchases or complete key workflows and also offer real-time, personalized support when high-value customers show signs of frustration.
Fullstory Workforce customers who are aiming to enhance employee experience will also be able to guide new hires through multi-app onboarding tours or capture real-time feedback during critical initiatives.

Dobias added that his company’s real-time behavioral data is the key. “By joining forces, we can now move from providing great onboarding to creating a truly dynamic experience where the right intervention is triggered at the perfect moment,” he said.
