Google Cloud today announced the launch of Google Unified Security Recommended, a new program designed to consolidate its expanding security ecosystem and provide enterprises with validated, interoperable partner solutions that work with Google’s identity, threat detection and cloud security platforms.
The program launches with three inaugural partners — CrowdStrike Holdings Inc., Fortinet Inc. and Wiz Inc. — all of which already integrate deeply with Google’s security stack.
The idea behind the program is to simplify a landscape that Google argues has become increasingly fragmented as organizations deploy dozens of security tools across cloud, network, identity and endpoint environments. Rather than forcing security teams to evaluate complex integrations on their own, Unified Security Recommended vets partner capabilities and ensures they interoperate cleanly with Google Security Operations, Google Threat Intelligence and Security Command Center.
Google says the program is intended to give customers immediate confidence that recommended partner tools work across their environments.
CrowdStrike’s participation includes integrations between its Falcon platform and Google’s threat intelligence, detection and response products to give joint customers end-to-end visibility across endpoints, identity systems and cloud infrastructure.
Fortinet brings validated support through its FortiGate and FortiSASE offerings, feeding network telemetry into Google Security Operations for more unified detection and policy enforcement across hybrid environments.
Wiz’s cloud security platform, meanwhile, integrates with both Google Security Operations and Security Command Center to help security teams prioritize cloud risks across Google Cloud and multicloud deployments.
A critical aspect of Google Unified Security Recommended is what Google Cloud describes as a shared dedication to strategic AI initiatives, including Model Context Protocol support. By allowing AI models to interact with and use security tools, MCP can enhance security workflows by ensuring Gemini models possess contextual awareness across multiple downstream services.
With MCP, Google’s new AI agents, such as the alert triage agent in Google Security Operations that autonomously investigates alerts, can query partner tools for telemetry, enrich investigations with third-party data, and orchestrate response actions across an entire security stack.
All recommended partner offerings are available through the Google Cloud Marketplace to provide consolidated procurement and faster deployment. Google says more partners will be added as the program expands to cover additional domains across identity, data protection, network security and cloud infrastructure.
