Tanium rolls out agentic AI upgrades, expanded endpoint management and new security tools

Cybersecurity software provider Tanium Inc. today announced advancements designed to accelerate the journey toward autonomous operations and security that empower information technology and security leaders to innovate faster, strengthen resilience and drive business outcomes with confidence.

The announcements, made at the company’s 10th annual Converge conference, leverage artificial intelligence to transform IT operations and security and enable full-scale autonomous IT.

The new advancements are led by an expansion of Tanium’s Agentic AI offering with the introduction of Tanium Ask, an agentic AI experience that improves operational efficiency by integrating AI-driven workflows directly into the Tanium platform. With coverage of data discovery and software management to dashboard summarization and embedded documentation, Tanium Ask allows administrators to investigate, troubleshoot and remediate issues in a single streamlined experience.

The second new offering, Tanium AI Agent for ServiceNow, embeds the Tanium AI agent directly into ServiceNow Inc.’s Now Assist experience and agentic framework. That way, when an incident is opened, the agent can automatically pull real-time endpoint intelligence, such as user activity, application versions and device status, into the workflow. The agent allows administrators to get accurate answers and perform recommended actions, such as rebooting a device or uninstalling software, eliminating the need for time-consuming investigations.

The announcements today also include an expansion of endpoint management from Tanium with the introduction of three new features: Tanium Endpoint Management for Operational Technology, Tanium Endpoint Management for Mobile and Tanium Connector for Microsoft Intune.

Tanium Endpoint Management for Operational Technology expands the reach of Tanium’s endpoint management capabilities into OT environments and brings real-time visibility and actionable insight to traditionally siloed assets. The feature gives unified oversight across IT and industrial domains by integrating OT devices such as human-machine interfaces and programmable logic controllers.

Tanium Endpoint Management for Mobile, which at launch provides support for Macs, iPhones and iPads, incorporates mobile endpoints into Tanium’s platform to enable consistent visibility, configuration enforcement and remote actions.

Tanium Connector for Microsoft Intune provides organizations unified visibility, reporting and responsive actions across mobile and IT devices by integrating device telemetry from Microsoft Intune-managed endpoints into the Tanium platform.

The final announcements today includes an expansion of Security Operations from Tanium, with the introduction of Tanium Jump Gate, a feature that helps organizations eliminate standing access, enforce zero-trust principles and provide real-time oversight with just-in-time and just-enough access to sensitive resources.

Another new feature, Tanium HuntIQ, embeds seasoned, hands-on-keyboard Tanium experts directly into customer environments to help optimize security operations performance, strengthen resilience and proactively detect stealthy threats.

“Tanium continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible by leveraging AI and real-time endpoint intelligence to empower organizations to move from reactive to autonomous operations,” said Chief Technology Officer Matt Quinn. “Unveiling these innovations at our Converge conference is especially meaningful – it’s where our community comes together to shape the future of autonomous IT.”
