Vectra AI targets hybrid attack gaps with unified control framework

Threat detection and response firm Vectra AI Inc. today outlined a new platform-wide approach to hybrid security that unifies prevention, detection, response and resilience reporting across the full attack lifecycle.

The updates to the Vectra AI Platform introduce a lifecycle-wide control model designed to give security teams consistent, measurable control before, during and after cyberattacks. Vectra AI is positioning the platform as a single operating framework that helps organizations eliminate weaknesses ahead of compromise, respond decisively to active threats, and demonstrate resilience once incidents are contained — rather than treating exposure management, detection and response as separate functions.

The company argues that the shift in its platform is necessary as hybrid enterprise environments grow more complex across data centers, identity systems, multicloud infrastructure, software-as-a-service applications, internet of things, and operational technology environments.

The problem, as Vectra AI sees it, is that fragmented security tools and siloed visibility often leave organizations reactive, allowing small exposures to escalate into major incidents. Vectra AI’s control model, on the other hand, addresses the gap by unifying visibility, investigation, containment and reporting into a continuous process that spans the entire hybrid attack lifecycle.

“Security teams today are drowning in complexity, scattered signals and tools that don’t talk to each other,” explains Mark Wojtasiak, senior vice president of research and strategy at Vectra AI. “We’ve redefined the way defenders control modern attacks proactively within the Vectra AI platform.”

The new approach consists of three interconnected components: proactive threat exposure management, 360-degree response and value reporting.

Proactive exposure management focuses on identifying and addressing weaknesses before attackers can exploit them, while the 360-degree response capability enables automated containment actions across host, identity and network environments during active compromise. Value reporting provides operational and executive-level insight into risk reduction, posture improvement and overall security maturity.

“It’s all about giving defenders complete control across the entire hybrid attack lifecycle,” added Wojtasiak. “This is the operating model that modern security demands — one where teams identify exposures earlier, respond faster, and deliver and prove the hybrid enterprise resilience.”

Parts of the framework are already generally available, including the 360-degree response and value reporting capabilities, with proactive exposure management set to roll out in phases through 2026. Enterprise security operations centers and managed security service provider partners are already using elements of the framework to reduce investigation time, accelerate containment and clearly communicate security improvements to leadership and regulators.

Vectra AI noted that the announcement is an evolution of its existing strengths in hybrid network detection and response, bringing those capabilities together under a single platform experience rather than introducing a standalone new product.
