Cybersecurity Mesh Architecture platform startup Mesh Security Inc. announced today that it has raised $12 million in new early-stage funding.
The money will be used to advance its autonomous, agentic capabilities, expand how the platform reasons over cross-domain attack path, and enable system-level remediation while scaling sales and customer support to meet growing enterprise demand. Founded in 2022, Mesh offers what it claims to be the world’s first Cybersecurity Mesh Architecture platform, a unified security operating layer that connects and orchestrates disparate security tools into a single, adaptive defense system.
Enterprises typically deploy many specialized security products, from identity and endpoint protection to cloud and network defenses. But the tools often operate in silos and, in doing so, leave gaps in context, visibility and control. The company’s solution sits above existing infrastructure and integrates data and controls without the need for migrations or replacement agents to turn existing fragmented investments into a cohesive real-time defense fabric.
The platform uses an identity-first, data-graph-based engine that continuously maps relationships across assets, identities, data, cloud, software-as-a-service, continuous integration and continuous delivery, and network environments. The idea is that by unifying context and risk signals across domains, Mesh can automate posture hardening, threat detection, investigation and response to allow security teams to reduce exposure proactively at enterprise scale.
“For years, enterprise security has accumulated tools and data, but it never built an execution layer that connects them into a single operating model,” said co-founder and Chief Executive Netanel Azoulay. “Mesh was built to realize Cybersecurity Mesh by unifying context and control across best-of-breed environments so security finally works as one system, without vendor lock-in.”
Mesh’s platform is already in use in complex production environments, working alongside leading security platforms to enable enterprise-wide adaptive defense that historically never operated together. The company says its approach is resonating across the ecosystem, including collaboration with leading security platforms such as SentinelOne Inc. and with enterprises seeking to unlock the full value of their existing security investments.
Notable Mesh customers include Paychex Inc., Nutanix Inc., Hippo Holdings Inc., Kaltura Inc., Guesty Inc. and Lightico Ltd.
The Series A round was led by Lobby Capital, with S Ventures (the venture capital arm of SentinelOne) and BrightPixel Capital also participating.
“Mesh’s platform is uniquely positioned to help enterprises achieve true cybersecurity mesh architecture in an era of increasing complexity,” said Buddy Arnheim, founding partner at Lobby Capital.
