Abstract Security launches AI-Gen Composable SIEM for streaming-first security operations

Security data operations company Abstract Security Inc. today announced the launch of AI-Gen Composable SIEM, a new architectural standard for modern security operations that it says is built natively for artificial intelligence, streaming data and modular control.

As security data volumes grow 25% to 30% annually, traditional security information and event management platforms have struggled to keep pace. AI-Gen Composable SIEM replaces monolithic and traditional SIEM architectures with a modular, streaming-first model where ingestion, pipelines, storage, detection, AI triage and response operate as composable building blocks.

“Next-Gen SIEM was an iteration. AI-Gen is a fundamental and architectural reset,” said co-founder and Chief Executive Colby DeRodeff. “AI isn’t a feature bolted onto a legacy platform. It has to be embedded across the data pipeline from ingestion to detection to investigation.”

AI-Gen Composable SIEM introduces a system-of-systems architecture that enables organizations to decouple data sources and destinations to eliminate vendor lock-in, run detections in-stream for near real-time threat response and tier and route data intelligently to reduce storage costs. With the offering, users can also embed AI across workflows for triage, investigation and response and scale elastically across multicloud and hybrid environments.

Differing from legacy platforms that centralize all functionality into a single stack, AI-Gen Composable SIEM allows enterprises to choose their architecture, deployment model and analytics engines without sacrificing performance or control.

“We built Abstract as AI-Gen from day one,” added DeRodeff. “Now we’re formalizing what customers already know: composable, AI-native security operations are the future.”

In early testing with Abstract customers, the company claims, AI-Gen Composable SIEM has seen impressive results, with users reporting a 65% to 75% reduction in SIEM-related costs, faster mean time to detect, and faster mean time to respond.

The launch comes as Abstract enters 2026 under the theme “Signal to Scale,” which the company says reflects its focus on expanding adoption of the AI-Gen model across enterprise and regulated markets.

Abstract Security is a venture capital-funded startup that has raised $28.5 million in funding. Investors in the company include Munich Re Ventures GmbH, Crosslink Capital, Rally Ventures and Liquid 2 Ventures.
