Tanium and ServiceNow launch joint solution to automate endpoint patching and remediation

Cybersecurity software provider Tanium Inc. today announced a new partnership with ServiceNow Inc. to deliver a joint autonomous information technology solution, ITOM AI Prime powered by Tanium.

The joint offering integrates the Tanium Autonomous IT Platform with ServiceNow IT Operations Management AI Prime into a single solution to move from reactive operations to autonomous, outcome-based IT, where issues are detected, resolved and verified without manual intervention.

Tanium is pitching the joint offering as closing the loop between the real-time endpoint truth provided by Tanium and intelligent workflow orchestration delivered through ServiceNow. The company argues that most enterprises struggle with a gap between what they see and what they can act on and this solution eliminates that gap.

The joint solution enriches ServiceNow workflows and AI agents with Tanium’s real-time endpoint intelligence and autonomous actions to allow customers to reduce investigation times, minimize manual effort and drive more efficient, governed IT operations at scale. The joint solution is also designed to reduce operational complexity, improve configuration management database accuracy and help enterprises safely scale AI-driven IT operations.

Under the hood, the joint solution works by Tanium feeding real-time endpoint data into ServiceNow CMDB to allow workflows to trigger against accurate asset state, while AI agents can now make decisions grounded in real-time telemetry and remediation, including third-party and operating system patching. The workflow is executed through approved change processes without manual intervention.

“Together with Tanium, we’ve fundamentally changed how endpoints are managed and secured at scale — 60% projected reduction in mean time to resolution, autonomous patching and a clear path to our bold goal of zero breaches,” said Sankha Nagchoudhury, senior vice president of digital business services and experiences at ServiceNow. “This is execution at scale and we look forward to extending this proven value to customers.”

The partnership comes as companies push to bring IT operations and security tooling onto fewer platforms, with AI doing more of the work. ServiceNow has been building out its roster of AI agents over the past year and Tanium has leaned into its role as the endpoint data layer feeding autonomous IT.

The joint solution will be demonstrated at the Tanium booth at ServiceNow Knowledge 2026, which runs this week in Las Vegas.
