Hyve Group’s acquisition of Chain of Events is set to accelerate the international expansion of RAISE Summit, Paris Blockchain Week and MACHINA while adding technology designed to improve attendee networking and deal-making.
The transaction will help the company bring its event formats into additional markets, including the United States, while allowing its team to remain focused on industry content, audiences and executive relationships, according to Chain of Events founders Charlie Meraud (pictured, left) and Michael Amar (right).
“We want to grow even more and scale geographically,” Amar said. “So, we want to geo-clone most likely in the U.S. and EU.”
Meraud and Amar spoke with theCUBE’s John Furrier at RAISE Summit, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. (* Disclosure below.)
Hyve’s technology will also help Chain of Events organize meetings among attendees at greater scale. The founders have made curated introductions, executive roundtables and private discussions between technology buyers and sellers central to their events.
“Sometimes they want to discuss things that might not go public,” Amar said. “We try to also create these moments for the execs — who face huge problems with security and AI or real scaling of AI — to discuss this together.”
The acquisition brings Chain of Events together with an experienced global event operator. The founders plan to continue concentrating on programming and attracting the audiences most relevant to each market.
“We want to be founders and really keep being involved in the core thing, which is the content, the people, the ICPs that we want to bring,” Amar said.
The founders said RAISE Summit could more than double in size next year, while MACHINA, the company’s robotics summit, could expand to three or four times its current footprint. The events are expected to run alongside Hyve’s Fintech Meetup during the week of July 6, 2027.
“We’re staying, and we’re going to hire quite a lot in the different geographies and also try to maximize the synergies with the Hyve Group,” Amar added.
