How Much Time Do You Actually Spend on Tumblr?

There are many things we do in a day that, though not important, consumes most of our time.

Think blogging sites such as Tumblr where people pour their hearts out for a having a shitty time at work, not getting enough coffee, falling in line somewhere.  People get so engrossed with sharing everything that happens with their lives that they often forget how long they’ve been sitting there, waiting for people to comment so they comment back.

You don’t think you’re one of those zombies?  Check out the chart below and see if that’s how long you spend on Tumblr and how much you actually shave off if you don’t.

When you’re done figuring this chart out, you can checkout Lifelogging Tools for the Self-Quantified Lifestyle: Become a Better You for apps that would help you track your daily activities and see what else you can do to save time or stick to your plan.

We’ll all keep this in mind as Yahoo! (an already huge web portal) is reaching out to acquire Tumblr at $1.1 billion in a move that should keep the portal relevant to the shifting attentions of the web space (and the time everyone spends on it.) As an audience, we all know what it’s like to blog, or to read blogs; this might be especially true for those who grew up on LiveJournal. Tumblr is just the most recent log burning in the fire of our wordsmith-social passions.

It’s also an amazing (but fun) time sink.
