Fitbit introduces three new smartbands

Smartband maker Fitbit, Inc. introduced three new fitness bands that would cater to various types of people and their needs.

Charge is a $129.95 activity and sleep tracker that also lets you see incoming call notifications if your phone is nearby. It also displays the time, daily stats, Exercise Mode, wirelessly syncs to your smartphone or computer, and can wake you using a silent alarm.

Charge HR is a $149.95 heart rate and activity tracker that also serves as a caller ID, watch, workout and activity tracker, wireless syncing, and also has a silent alarm. And the third smartband is the $249.95 Surge, described as a fitness super watch. The Surge features a GPS tracker, PurePulse Heart Rate monitor, multi-sport activity recording, call and text notification, music information, sleep tracker, silent alarm, wireless syncing, and a battery that lasts more or less seven days depending on use.

Charge is now available for purchase, while the Charge HP and Surge will be available in 2015.

Jawbone Up3

Aliph, Inc., a company  known for its wearable product Jawbone, has released the third version of the popular fitness tracker. Touted as the most advanced fitness and health tracker, Up3 features new programs including Heart Health, Smart Coach, Advances Sleep and Advances Activity to help users track their daily activities and sleep behavior. The Up3 also comes with an optimal wake-up alarm, step tracker, calories burned tracker, and notifies if you’ve been idle for too long. You can use Jawbone’s newest tracker to set goals, log food and drink intake, share data with friends and family, and is waterproof to up to 10 meters.

Aside from the improved features, the overall appearance of Up3 has also been upgraded. Choose between black and silver color options, each of which have different textures. The Up3 is also now a one-size fits all device, thanks to the new sensor technology embedded in its flexible strap.

“Getting the flexible strap right was a key priority. UP3 is one-size-fits-all device, a departure from previous Jawbone trackers. An innovative adjustable clasp was invented to allow for the sensor data to travel around the wrist and strap. The clasp mechanism allows the band to slide through a flat metal gate and lock in at just the right size for the user. This maximizes the exposure of the sensors on your skin. Achieving this was no small feat, and new clasps are rarely designed for this reason,” Yves Behar, Jawbone’s Chief Creative Officer, wrote in the company’s blog.

Kiqplan

Fitbug Ltd. has introduced a new platform that aims to transform your life in just 12 weeks. Kiqplan, pronounced ‘kick plan,’ is a platform designed to help motivate people into living a healthier life in a short period of time.

It offers four plans: Slim and Trim which is a digital weight loss plan; Beer belly blaster to help you lose weight and tone your muscles; Healthy baby bump which is a plan that keeps moms-to-be and their baby healthy during the course of pregnancy, and Goodbye baby bump, which is a postnatal plan that helps you get back into shape after giving birth.

After choosing the right plan, you can now pair your smartphone, fitness tracker, smartwatch, or even apps so you can start setting your goals and start achieving them.

Subscribers will be provided with exercise videos, tips, advices and articles, healthy recipes, and experts to keep you motivated throughout your fitness journey.
