Missing in action: T-Mobile cancels LTE Nexus 9 launch
T-Mobile has done it again, cancelling the planned launched of the LTE Nexus 9, despite promising availability for “early December.”
The company previously delayed the release of the Nexus 6.
The news unsurprisingly came via a leaked internal memo picked up by TMONews, which reads:
Updated: Google Nexus 9 Launch Postponed (Retail, TPR, TPRi, EDPC)
Update: The launch of the Google Nexus 9 has been postponed. This article will be updated with the launch date once it is confirmed.
T-Mobile will launch the Google Nexus 9 on a date to be determined, which will be available on the web or through Ship-to (Direct Fulfillment) in HSO. This HTC device features a beautiful 8.9″ screen and a 64-bit 2.3GHz dual processor.
As per the message there is no new date being suggested for shipping; while it’s unlikely to have been canceled indefinitely perhaps it’s best that T-Mobile doesn’t set abitrary deadlines given its record in meeting them.
The LTE Nexus 9 is manufactured by HTC and sports an 8.9 inch 2048×1536 screen and Nvidia’s 64-bit Tegra K1 processor, running Lollipop (Android 5.0) as its operating system.
