New query language could turn log files into business insights – Computerworld
Longtries says Splunk is great but not very easy to use. It’s aiming to make log files accessible to average people. “Logentries Query Language was designed to allow users throughout an organization to not only collect and search log data in real-time, but also to analyze it for high-level trends. Rather than simply monitoring performance, it aims to help shed light on usage data in particular, such as which pages on a company’s website are most popular among its top customers.”
Emerson Makes DCIM Integration Easier With RESTful APIs – Data Center Knowledge
The move should make it easier to integrate Emerson’s Trellis data center infrastructure management platform with other applications like things IT management and accounting software or mobile platforms. DCIM providers are increasingly adopting RESTful APIs to make integration simpler.
