“Our loyalty ratings are through the roof,” said Debbie O’Brien, Informatica Corp’s VP of Global Communications. “There’s a huge need for our products and that really emulates through the conference.”
O’Brien spoke to theCUBE cohosts John Furrier and Jeff Frick as Informatica World 2015 wrapped up. T.
Frick noted that the excitement at the event was palpable. He also enjoyed exposing the personality of Informatica’s senior executives on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE’s Media team.
Frick supported Informatica’s philosophy toward data. “At Wikibon , we say that everything goes back to storage,” he said. “At the end of the day, sitting on that storage is the data layer. Approaching that problem through the lens of the data, you have a unifying structure where you can address the opportunities and problems and start to tackle some of the things that are going on at the data structure.”
Security was another hot topic among the keynotes and other sessions. O’Brien said that attendees held more than 200 breakout sessions.
“We had everything from the very deep ‘how do I improve my mappings’ to ‘how am I as a business practitioner supposed to get the most out of my data,’” she said. “People were excited about our hands-on labs, our best practice sessions, and getting to meet our experts.”
