At Apple’s Special Event today, new updates were announced to the approaching Watch OS2. Although the first Apple Watch product just launched in June, already the product has been life-changing, according to Apple CEO Tim Cook. Apple announced that customer satisfaction so far is at a whopping 97 percent. But Apple Watch is just getting started, and it’s set on an incredible pace of innovation.
Watch OS2 is packed with powerful features. With the Time Travel feature, you can see your schedule hours and days in advance. The Transit feature will make it easier to find and use public transportation. Another feature is the iTranslate, which enables you to speak into microphone and translate thousands of languages.
There have already been 10,000 apps for the Apple Watch produced, and social media platforms like Facebook are coming to the watch. GoPro will be coming as well. A game changer for physicians is the AirStrip app. AirStrip pulls data together of a patient, and doctors can take action on what they see. Doctors will be able to monitor pregnant mothers from home–and the Watch OS2 will be able to track both the mother and the child’s heartbeat. This is truly life-changing innovation.
The new Watch OS2 will offer even more choices in design with new models and new bands. New colors include Rose Gold and Anodized Gold. They’ve also partnered with Hermes to make some high-quality leather watches that will be available in October.
