Huge waves hit the Cloud space | #reinvent

Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) is making huge waves in the cloud space. For companies using AWS, how is this benefitting them?

Francesco Rovetta, VP of alliances and distribution at Freshdesk, Inc., and Mark Wright, director of partnerships and evangelization at Ayla Networks, joined John Furrier, cohost of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, during Amazon re:Invent 2015 in Las Vegas to talked about implementing AWS for the benefit of customers.

Ayla Networks working with OEMs

Ayla Networks allows OEMs to easily connect products to Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud in order to see how they are being implemented in the field. Ayla provides a higher level platform to the Cloud that OEMs don’t have to build themselves. They help connect OEMs to the Cloud for the intelligence they can receive, according to Wright.

Ayla is using AWS for this. “Amazon is very powerful,” said Wright. “They’re the strongest player in this business, and they’re allowing companies like us to build on that to provide a solution.” According to Wright, Amazon allows people to go further – not just to remotely control things, but to gain data.

Freshdesk customer support software

Freshdesk, on the other hand, provides a Cloud-based customer support software. “We’re truly multichannel,” said Rovetta. “End users connect with agents through mobile devices, through email and even social media.” Rovetta sees AWS playing a huge part in this. “What we love is the fact … that the most advanced technology is being consumerized more and more. The usability, the ease of implementation, the ease of use,” he said.
