EMERGING TECH

Staying on task: How can digital content creators maximize efficiency?

Digital content creation has seen many changes over the years, but it’s fair to say that since the rise of the cloud, everything in that field has fundamentally changed. To deal with these changes, Adobe Systems Inc. evolved its current suite of creation tools, called the Creative Cloud.

“The Creative Cloud is the suite of Adobe tools, and it is a collection of all of the tools that enable creativity: from digital imaging to motion pictures to Photoshop, all of the the core creative tools and a collection of services that help enable the connection between those tools,” said Laura Williams Argilla (pictured), director of services and workflows, Professional Video, at Adobe Systems.

Williams-Argilla sat down with Lisa Martin (@Luccazara), co-host of theCUBE, SiliconANGLE’s mobile live-streaming studio, during the NAB Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, to talk about Adobe is keeping up with the industry changes in digital content creation.

Enabling productivity by maximizing efficiency

When working with digital content, especially digital video content, anyone who has ever been involved in it can tell you that it is important to keep your train of thought on track. Whenever a content creator has to exit out or otherwise pull up another program to continue what they are working on, getting distracted can affect efficiency, Williams-Argilla stated.

Adobe Systems partners with its customers to maximize that efficiency by enabling features that allow the creator to access the tools and stock content they need, through its own ecosystem, without the user having to exit what they are currently working on.

“I think as creative person you want to mean remain in your creative space as long as possible, and you don’t want to go into the administrative space of asset management,” said Williams-Argilla. “You want that to be handed to you where you’re working, and I do think that that constant shift of focus is really difficult to manage and stay in that productive space.”
