Reachify opens its cloud medical communications hub to the public

Medical technology software-as-a-service communications platform provider Reachify opened its service to the public today after a private beta trial.

Intended to provide an intelligent communication hub for medical practices, Reachify consolidates communication channels including phone, text, email, fax, social media into a single, collaborative workspace that promises to enable medical practices to operate more efficiently and attract and connect with patients more effectively.

Although that sounds like unified inbox products that have been launched before, Reachify’s service has been designed “by doctors, for doctors” in that it is designed specifically for medical practices with support for medical terminology and needs. For example, the platform can route messages to the appropriate staff member, such as sending medical inquiries to a client’s physician without an intermediary.

“We know that the full patient experience goes beyond medical care,” Reachify Chief Executive Greg Spillane said in a statement. “Better communication leads to more satisfied patients, greater patient retention, higher referral rates and increased revenue.”

Other features of the service include full Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act or HIPAA compliance, a collaboration workspace that enables doctors and office staff to manage patient communication more efficiently, analytics and reporting, an application programming interface, a searchable conversation archive and cloud telephony support.

Beta clients included Orthopaedic Specialists of North County, Revive Salon and Spa, Balikian Facial Plastic Surgery, Skin Solutions MD and Minimally Invasive Surgeons of North County.

Pricing starts at $9 per user with extra charges for inbound and outbound services such as SMS, telephone and text support.
