Stay Smart Anywhere with Stay’s Latest iPhone App Version
Norwegian startup Stay.com announced the third and latest version of its popular mobile app, that lets users use travel guides using their mobile devices. The app currently features some researching, social sharing and printing functionalities, and the release of version 3 aims to further add to those by introducing more support and integration.
“On top of highly advanced mobile connectivity, the developers at Stay.com responded to user feedback to add even still more features and improvements. Here is the short list of Stay Version 3.0 and coming 3.1 features:
Mobile application for iPhone in 3.0 (other models coming)
“Add your own” place: Through integration with Google places, users are now capable of searching anything, find it on the map and add it to their guide. (released in 3.0).”
Versions 3.1 and 3.2 will bring along four additional features, including the addition of 55 new cities and thousands of tourist destinations to the Stay.com database, integration with 1500 restaurants from Top Table and Open Table, and a Featured Guides. With the release of v3.2, users will also be able to filter guides based on individual neighborhoods.
Stay.com detailed the future of the app, and the startup disclosed that it will release more social features in the third quarter of this year, including improved Facebook integration. Earlier this year, Stay.com introduced the first integration of its app with Google Places, and added the Add Your Own Feature option to allow users add destinations to their guides and then share those via Facebook Connect.
There is a lot of demand for Stay.com and similar apps, at least according to a new study. A TripAdvisor survey found that 22 percent of all people planning and booking a holiday are using their mobile devices to do so.
