Cloud infrastructure management provider Fugue Inc. wants to provide enterprises with more control over their cloud computing environments and the applications they host.
The new Fugue Organization Management service, announced today, helps enterprises put cloud security into operation across the entire organization, allowing them to scale those resources safely through policy-based automation, the company explained.
Fugue said enterprises today are rapidly expanding their use of the public cloud to host more and more business applications. This leads to more complexity and consequently they struggle to maintain security visibility and stay complaint. The problem is that every application has a different level of risk based on use case and locality. Moreover, companies generally use multiple cloud platforms to host different apps.
“Every enterprise is structured differently, with multiple business units making decisions that address their specific use cases, creating massive security and governance challenges,” explained Fugue co-founder and Chief Executive Josh Stella (pictured).
Fugue says it can help enterprises to overcome those massive challenges through its new Organization Management service, boosting their operational efficiency by as much as 80% while helping them improve their security posture. The service providers companies with real-time visibility into their entire cloud environment, across both business units and customers. With this, teams can easily access individual cloud environments to investigate vulnerabilities and modify policy settings to meet required standards.
Fugue Organization Management also makes it possible for security teams ensure that policy-driven cloud security rules are properly implemented and enforced across the entire organization. At the same time, it provides flexibility for individual business units too, based on their specific needs or requirements. So teams can set up role-based access controls for different users in each cloud environment.
“Within hours, Fugue helps IT and security leaders know their cloud environments are secure and adhere to policy at all times, while empowering individual teams to move fast and efficiently while addressing local requirements,” Stella said.
