Springpad Now Picks Up Your Luggage. iOS Users Rejoice!

Ever leave your bag somewhere?  It’s so easy to misplace things these days.  Springpad has been my personal assistant for quite awhile, but who would think of making a reminder for something like, not forgetting your bag?  Luckily, an iOS release for Springpad today will help even careless iPhone users to remember more and become more productive.

“With iOS push notifications, users will be able to get reminders and able to sync across the web when scheduling them.  Springpad is proving to be a competitive alternative to Evernote by using data in small doses and efficiently.

“Beefing up it’s ability to push directly to a phone from a web interface.  It adds a realtime user experience to managing a daily routine.”

From the Springpad blog.

Adding push notifications to any iOS application tends to be a necessity for mobile users.  In Springpad’s case, they have a solid platform from the roots.  This established platform makes a better impact for the release of standalone features, particularly push notifications on mobile devices.

Springpad still remains as the application I use over Evernote.  Besides getting notified by email for things like a particular product being lowered in price,  it can also be a great substitute to Remember the Milk.  Your time is precious right?  It’s clear that Springpad is expanding its mobile platform support across operating systems, and also expanding its feature set beyond social bookmarking.  Springpad’s always had a goal of becoming a personal assistant service, and push notifications is a huge step in that direction.
