UserTesting launches feedback engine to enhance product insight collection

Human insights platform company UserTesting Inc. today launched a new feedback engine and enhancements to its artificial intelligence capabilities that help organizations capture and analyze feedback and activate insights.

The new UserTesting FeedBack Engine is pitched as a meaningful advancement in providing a flexible and comprehensive solution designed to help teams build tests and capture perspectives across any experience. The new service offers versatile testing capabilities that allow teams to capture audience feedback using their preferred approaches throughout the product development lifecycle.

The service includes AI-powered surveys and high sample size testing, allowing organizations to quickly gather comprehensive feedback about their products and customers’ experiences. In addition, teams can test a variety of items, including websites, prototypes and campaigns using a combination of live interviews, usability testing, think-aloud, information architecture testing and surveys to gain a deep understanding of customer perspectives.

On the AI side, UserTesting has expanded UserTesting AI with the introduction of AI themes, a feature that allows customers to automate analysis and extract key insights from open-ended survey questions.

UserTesting also today introduced improved audience solutions that are purpose-built to find high-quality audiences for experience research at scale. The solutions include improved targeting and the extension of vetted participants from an expanded network of more than 40 partners to ensure access to the appropriate audience for varied feedback types.

Collectively, the tools are said to expedite the understanding of voluminous feedback, providing the speed and context for accessing customer insights to make the right decisions more efficiently. Doing so, the company claims, ensures that product development teams can align more closely with customer needs.

“Launching the Feedback Engine is a pivotal achievement towards realizing our vision of integrating the best aspects of UserTesting and UserZoom platforms while continuing to embrace technological innovations,” Michelle Engle, chief product officer at UserTesting, said ahead of the announcement. “Our enhancements in survey features and AI capabilities converge qualitative and quantitative data on a single platform, empowering our customers with deeper insights to build market-leading products and more memorable customer experiences.”

UserTesting has been owned by Thoma Bravo LP and Sunstone Partners LLC since being acquired in a $1.3 billion deal in October 2022.
