Remote access and support startup Splashtop Inc. today announced a new autonomous endpoint management solution for remote support users seeking to improve efficiencies, visibility and control over devices on their networks.
The new solution introduces automation features to lean information technology teams, including vulnerability scanning and real-time patch updates for combatting zero-day or unpatched threats. The solution also complements Microsoft Intune by strengthening security through accelerating patch times and enabling IT to gain more value from long-term technology investments.
The solution seeks to address issues such as the rising threat of zero-day vulnerabilities and projections indicating that there will be more than 48,000 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures in 2025. Splashtop argues that real-time remediation has become a necessity rather than a luxury.
Splashtop AEM provides an alternative that simplifies security by providing real-time solutions to detect, prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities quickly. For small and medium-sized IT teams, the solution provides visibility and proactive control over their environments via an easy-to-use dashboard and intelligent automation.
The solution also includes ring-based policy management, a phased deployment strategy that applies updates, patches and security policies to groups of devices in stages. That allows IT teams to phase deployments and tune security policies based on risk tolerance.
Splashtop AEM enhances IT efficiency with real-time asset discovery, providing full visibility into IT environments to reduce risks and ensure compliance. The solution’s vulnerability scanning capabilities help detect misconfigurations and security flaws by collecting data on CVEs and known exploited vulnerabilities, allowing IT teams to prioritize critical patches and mitigate threats effectively.
To streamline security management, the platform integrates real-time patch automation, working alongside Microsoft Intune to keep operating systems and third-party applications up to date.
Though Splashtop AEM is purpose-built for small and medium-sized businesses, the solution can scale up to 200,000-plus endpoints without performance degradation, making it an affordable option for some enterprise environments.
“Midmarket organizations are under constant threats from AI-powered cybercriminals, facing challenges in addressing security vulnerabilities at a reasonable cost while maintaining employee productivity and avoiding downtime,” said co-founder and Chief Executive Mark Lee. “Splashtop addresses this challenge by giving IT asset visibility, known exploited vulnerability insights and policy-driven real-time patch automation.”
The venture capital-backed startup has raised $110 million over six rounds. Investors in the company include SAP Ventures, Sapphire Ventures, DFJ Dragon Fund China LP, Storm Ventures and New Enterprise Associates LP.
