Observability and information technology management software company SolarWinds Worldwide LLC today announced significant enhancements to its portfolio, focusing on artificial intelligence-powered capabilities across observability, incident response, service management and automation.
The new updates are focused on helping businesses achieve greater IT operational resilience by allowing teams to navigate complex hybrid environments, accelerate issue resolution and ensure business continuity.
The enhancements seek to address the growing complexity of modern IT environments that, though they offer flexibility and scalability, often overwhelm teams with excessive alerts, fragmented data and slow resolution processes. The challenges can lead to severe incidents that disrupt services, hurt revenue and erode customer trust.
Leading the list of enhancements is the launch of SQUADCAST Incident Response, which unites people, processes and technology to provide a proactive, structured approach to incident response and resolution. SQUADCAST includes AI-powered alert isolation, on-call management, multi-source alert correlation, standardized runbooks, status pages, and Microsoft Teams and Slack integration for incident swarming. The company says the combination leads to faster issue identification so organizations can minimize downtime, reduce remediation time and maintain operational resilience.
Next up, the SolarWinds Observability platform has been enhanced with expanded hybrid IT awareness that offers deeper, broader single-pane-of-glass visibility across all major cloud providers — including Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services Inc. and Microsoft Azure — and on-premises environments. The upgrades are designed to provide a unified, detailed view of the entire hybrid IT landscape for more proactive management and optimization.
The Observability platform’s AI-powered Log Insights can now identify patterns, anomalies and trends in vast log data to surface critical issues before they escalate. Root Cause Assist, a feature within the SolarWinds Observability platform designed to enhance troubleshooting, now uses SolarWinds AI to analyze performance data and deliver rich, contextual insights, streamlining problem identification and resolution.
Other enhancements announced today include a preview of SolarWinds AI Query Assist, a new service that analyzes database query patterns and suggests optimized rewrites. The feature is designed to improve query performance, boost DBA efficiency and reduce costs from long-running queries.
The SolarWinds Service Desk gains new AI-powered capabilities that now automate the creation of standardized runbooks, streamlining incident response. Additionally, data masking helps organizations comply with privacy regulations by protecting sensitive information from accidental exposure.
“Learning and adapting, one of the core pillars of operational resilience, have been at the heart of success for SolarWinds over the past 25 years,” said Chief Executive Sudhakar Ramakrishna. “Our mission is to share that knowledge with our customers, equipping them with solutions that help them navigate the IT operational resiliency challenges of today and tomorrow’s dynamic IT landscape.”
