Zilla advances hybrid enterprise security with latest identity governance solution

Identity security solutions startup Zilla Security Inc. today launched Zilla PO Box, a new security solution that extends identity governance to hybrid and on-premises systems.

Designed to protect applications and systems that organizations use every day, Zilla PO Box is deployed as a container and extends into customer environments to support on-prem databases, directories and legacy applications. The goal of the new service is to make it easier for hybrid enterprises to bring both on-prem and cloud systems under a unified governance umbrella.

Key features include fast time to value, with out-of-the-box support for Active Directory and popular databases, including MySQL and Postgres. Zillo PO Box connects to on-prem systems to give organizations comprehensive visibility in minutes.

The new service offers comprehensive reach, with an extensive architecture that integrates with a wide range of proprietary on-premises systems using application programming interfaces, file imports, SQL queries and robotic automation. Security is also covered, with container-based deployment that is compatible with most enterprise on-premise environments and credential vaults for secure deployment.

“The IGA market needs an identity governance solution that can extend into hybrid environments,” said Nabeel Nizar, executive vice president of Advisory at security advisory firm MajorKey Technologies LLC. “The Zilla PO Box connector can enable my clients to combine their legacy on-prem applications with their fast-growing SaaS and cloud infrastructure under a single governance solution.”

PO Box adds to Zilla Security’s portfolio of integrations, which includes API integrations, CSV file support and Universal Sync. With the launch of PO Box, the company claims that it now offers the first identity governance and security solution that integrates comprehensively with both cloud and on-premises information technology environments to deliver rapid time to value with automation and a simple, outcome-driven approach.

Zilla is a venture capital-backed startup that has raised $17.6 million in funding, according to Tracxn. Investors include Tola Capital LLC, Pillar Ventures LLC and FirstMark Capital LLC.
