Opsource Announces Release of Cloud Files Service
This morning Cloud and SaaS service provider Opsource is announcing the beta release of their Opsource Cloud Files solution. With their continued focus on providing services to Enterprises and SaaS vendors, the cloud storage solution is a welcomed addition to their new, yet rapidly advancing suite of cloud services.
Already standing out as a service provider with setting the bar for Cloud Hosting related SLA’s, Opsource follows suit with their new storage solution with provides built enterprise friendly features such as 24×7 support, in-flight SSL transfers as well as at-rest 256-bit AES encryption.
Building on top of their User Access and Role layer, user specific storage quotas can be set allowing organizations to give access to various users and groups, while not having to micromanage the overall bill they might incur at the end of each month. PUT calls are also included in the service charge, which is 15 cents per gig, per month. Included inbound bandwidth is a nice feature given the sometimes ‘hidden-costs’ in services like AWS that can be realized with file transfers on top of raw storage costs.
In the young and ever evolving, fast paced Cloud Services market, Opsource is doing the best job of any incumbent at introducing and advancing their services at a pretty quick clip. As Amazon continues its arbitrage against the incumbents Opsource stands out with their early, but nice, feature set, and great service levels.
For those interested in all things Cloud & SaaS related, Opsource and other vendors, will be at the SaaS Summit & SIIA On-Demand event in San Francisco on May 10th-12th.
