Looks like Google Docs just got better: they’re rolling out a mobile editing platform for people on-the-go. The web platform will enable mobile devices to read and modify Google Docs on the fly. Good for anyone who happens to own a smartphone or tablet who sometimes gets the itch to fix something up and they’re not in front of their workstation.
From the Google blog post on the subject,
As a writer, I know this is something of a big deal for me. Inspiration can hit anytime and anywhere—but sometimes it’s not actually about inspiration, it’s about remembering some esoteric rule of grammar, or a sentence I found sticky or annoying. There I am, waiting for the bus or idling on a bench at the grocery store and it strikes me. Now, I can jot it down on a piece of paper to fix it at home, or I can boot up my smartphone and a few clicks later my fix is in.
Over the next few days the app will be rolled out by Google for Android with Froyo (version 2.2) and on iOS devices (version 3.0+) including the iPad. Currently planned support is for English-only; but other languages will be following soon.
THANK YOU
