Google has introduced a new Android platform for the Nexus S device, the Gingerbread 2.3. Experts believed that this is indeed an enormous deal for the company as the release of Gingerbread 2.3 is a highly anticipated one.
In a recent blog posted to support this deal update, Google has enumerated how will Gingerbread 2.3 be operated within the Nexus S device. “Nexus S is the lead device for the Gingerbread/Android 2.3 release; it’s the first Android device to ship with the new version of the Android platform. We co-developed this product with Samsung—ensuring tight integration of hardware and software to highlight the latest advancements of the Android platform. As part of the Nexus brand, Nexus S delivers what we call a ‘pure Google’ experience: unlocked, unfiltered access to the best Google mobile services and the latest and greatest Android releases and updates.”
It seems the Android craze will continue for quite sometime, as innovations and upgrades are happening almost every day. In a recent report, it was mentioned that almost 200,000 Android devices are activated daily. To capitalize on this warm public reception, technology companies like Opera Mobile and Seeismic have updated its android browser today.
Opera for Android is expected to get HTML 5 video support and accommodate Flash Player Plug-Ins. Pavel Studeny, a mobile team member mentioned in her blog post, “New Web technologies aim to replace it, but Flash will be around for some time. If you have Flash player installed on your phone, Opera will support it. In a similar story, Seeismic for Android was also launched to incorporate not only the usual social networking sites (Twitter and Facebook), but also beta-version of sales force.
