Support.com Extends Platform to Android, Apple iOS and Windows Phone 7

Online technology services and software provider, Support.com, announced the extension of its technology platform and services to mobile devices running on Android, iPhone, iPad, iPod and, Windows Phone 7.  These devices will experience the company’s quality and cost-effective service offerings to bring out the best of mobile computing experience. Support.com responds to the critical needs of users in the booming mobile market.

“Technology has always allowed Support.com to deliver higher quality services faster for the PC and now we’re bringing those gains to the expanding mobile universe,” said Josh Pickus, President and CEO of Support.com. “Our move into mobile is consistent with our overriding goal of being the one support call a consumer will ever have to make regardless of the technology or hardware they’re working with.”

The mobile support of Support.com offers services such as set-up, training and syncing, as well as providing mobile access to a user’s most important home or work data.

Mobile support for Apple’s iPad, iPhone, and iPod are now readily available for new and existing customers, while support for Android phones and tablets, as well as Windows Phone 7 will be available late this quarter.

Other companies are also taking mobile initiatives. Juniper Networks, for instance, is taking its technology to the mobile arena as it sees the frailty of the industry for enterprise purposes. It was also chosen by iPad for security, and thus releasing Juno Pulse.  Citrix also released an application, the Citrix Receiver, that made the iPad “Open for Business”.
