Splunk Tops this Week’s Best iPad, Android Tablet Business Apps

BI software maker Splunk released version 4.3 of its software this week, introducing a more straight-forward interface designed for the direct use of the business user.  The latest edition features several improvements, notably the fact the company shifted from using flash to HTML5, enabling user access on-the-go from iOS devices.

iPad

Splunk

The launch of Splunk Enterprise v4.3 significantly boosted the company’s flagship product.  The software now provides easy access to both real-time and historical metrics, while providing dashboards that don’t require any understanding of XLM code. Things were even made easier on the admin side.

Budgets

Budgets for iPad is, as the name implies, an expense and income management app. It squeezes convenient navigation, statistics and a great deal of entry customization into a futuristic-looking interface built for organization. And while it may appeal to Star Wars fans more than to the average user, Budgets does deliver what the developer promised.

StockWatch

StockWatch is another stock exchange monitoring app, with the expectation that’s it’s one of the best in the App Store – at least according to a large number of positive reviews from several publications. It offers unlimited portfolios, symbols and lots in addition to customization, especially when it comes to charting, data sync and more.

Android

eVoice

eVoice has freshly landed into general availability at CES, and lives up to the ideals of the consumerization of IT trend. The VoIP enhances call quality and reception over any network type, which is bound to appeal to both consumers and businesses that can’t afford a call drop.

QuickOffice

QuickOffice’s fifth edition for Android was released a couple days ago alongside with an update to the iOS version of the app. The revamped pocket cloud now integrates with Office 2010 and features a more opened up interface including new social features.
