Amazon’s Ready To Launch Kindle Fire 2

Amazon announced that they’ve launched their Android Appstore in five European countries:  UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain.  This announcement, along with their previous announcement that the Kindle Fire has already sold out on their website makes people think that the company is readying to unveil the second generation Kindle Fire.  And with their European expansion, it seems like the online retail shop is ready sell their devices in the European market.

Back in July, news surfaced that Amazon is readying to release tablets of varying sizes as they push to sell more media content such as MP3s, movies, e-books, TV shows, apps and a lot more.  According to some sources.they will be launching a 7-inch Kindle Fire 2 in 8GB and 16GB versions, a 10-inch Kindle Fire 2 in 16GB and 32GB versions, and a 10-inch 4G LTE Kindle Fire 2  in 16GB and 32GB configurations.

But other sources say that the upcoming Kindle Fire 2 will have a 7-inch display with an upgraded 1,280 x 800 pixels resolution and will have 4G LTE connectivity.  Another source stated that Amazon is merely releasing a revamped version of the first Kindle Fire by adding 3G capabilities.

As for the release of the said devices, sources pointed to August 7, but stated that they could come out as early as the end of July.  But the days came and passed with no new Kindle Fire revealed.  The questions now is, was everything a lie or did Amazon just push back their launch date?

Sources say that Amazon will be launching their Kinde Fire/s next week, just in time for Motorola Mobility and Nokia’s events.  Recent reports stated that the two companies will be unveiling new products on September 5, at separate events of course.  Next week will be a busy week as companies want to unveil their products before Apple does on September 12–it seems anything released after Apple gets overshadowed.  Amazon could have released their device/s this week at IFA, but I guess they didn’t want to steal the limelight from Samsung.  If you haven’t heard, Samsung already unveiled the Galaxy Note 2.

Since September 5 and 12 both fall on a Wednesday, Amazon has a lot of options as to when to launch their device/s.  The could do it on a Monday or Tuesday but not Thursday or Friday, as they would be overshadowed by other launches.  They shouldn’t even do it over the weekend because people rarely pay attention over the weekend.  News would just get washed out.
