How to watch RSA Conference interviews and commentary from theCUBE

With the unrelenting rise in cyberattacks, cybersecurity is more important than ever — and the RSA Conference 2017 hosted by RSA Security LLC this week in San Francisco is the place that some 45,000 attendees are flocking to find out what’s coming next and what to do about it.

SiliconANGLE and the mobile video studio theCUBE will be covering this year’s RSA Conference independently with exclusive interviews onsite Tuesday, Feb. 14. And on Wednesday, the team will do additional conference-related interviews and commentary live from theCUBE’s studio in Palo Alto, California.

Ransomware will be one of the main focuses at this year’s conference, with more than 10 sessions focusing on the fastest-growing malware variant in 2016. Ransomware attacks have hit nearly 40 percent of organizations, according to Osterman Research Inc. Also front and center will be machine learning and artificial intelligence. Not least, the nascent Internet of Things market faces entirely new threats, such as distributed denial of service attacks and distributed malware such as the Mirai botnet that infected consumer home routers, digital recorders and cameras late last year.

Dr. Zulfikar Ramzan, chief technology officer at RSA kicks off the keynote presentations on Tuesday with a presentation entitled “Planning for Chaos,” which explores the evolution into a new stage of cybersecurity.

Other keynote speakers include George Kurtz, chief executive officer of CrowdStrike Inc.; Ron Carback, defense intelligence officer for cyber at the Defense Intelligence Agency; and April Doss, partner at Saul Ewing LLP. Vijay Dheap, program director of cognitive security at IBM and Dr. Josh Benaloh, senior cryptographer of Microsoft Research at Microsoft Corp. will also present at the RSA Conference.
